Stop Agonising - Start Listening
STOP AGONISING AND START LISTENING TO YOUR HEART How often do we get wound up about things, feeling pressured, torn this way and that, not sure what to do or which thing to do first?
It’s time to stop agonising by following some short and simple rules: ‘The Magnificent Seven’
1. Stop and take some deep breaths
2. Trust yourself. You do actually know what to do but it’s likely you’ve been drawn into someone else’s agenda/panic/timetable/parallel universe
3. Go through the options you were agonising over and watch your own gut feelings
4. Listen to what your true, calm self is trying to say
5. Notice which option feels like the right thing to do (or the right thing to do first) and plan to do it
6. Let go of the things you thought you ‘should’ do that just don’t feel right (Feeling like we ‘should’ is rarely a good reason for doing something)
7. Take another deep breath and congratulate yourself for going with the natural flow
GO WITH YOUR FLOW
Sometimes we get drawn into other people’s design for us, we’re following their path, not our own. Going with your flow, following your own path, keeps a natural balance for you, and for them too. Try and it and see…
I hope you’re having a lovely summer and making time to enjoy moments with the natural flow of nature, we have a lot to learn from it…or is it that we have a lot to get back to that we seem to have forgotten?
